External commercial purchase: Atinamos JSON Repair
A narrow market-adoption observation: an external source reached an Atinamos paid machine-service route, completed x402 payment and received paid HTTP fulfilment.
An external source outside the known controlled Atinamos test flow purchased Atinamos JSON Repair for 0.005 USDC over x402 on Base and received HTTP 200 paid fulfilment; the evidence does not identify the buyer as an autonomous AI agent or establish broad adoption.
Research question
Had an Atinamos machine service been purchased by a source outside the known controlled Atinamos test flow, rather than only by our own experiments?
Subject and evidence boundary
The service was Atinamos JSON Repair at the paid route /agent/json-repair. This report is based on retained operational request evidence and the corresponding public-chain settlement record.
The public record deliberately omits source IP information, receiving-account details and private runtime configuration because none of those details are required to support the bounded commercial observation.

Why the source is treated as external
The source was outside the known controlled Atinamos test flow reviewed for this event. The on-chain payer did not match the documented Atinamos experimental buyer wallets checked during the investigation.
The same source had previously probed multiple paid Atinamos endpoints and received HTTP 402 responses before later returning to JSON Repair and completing payment. That pattern is consistent with machine-service evaluation, but it is not evidence of the buyer's decision logic.
What the observation supports
The record supports that an external source made commercial use of an Atinamos paid machine service, completed x402 verification and settlement, and received a successful paid HTTP response. The corresponding 0.005 USDC Base transaction was successful.
What it does not support
The observation does not establish that the buyer was an autonomous AI agent, that an AI model selected the service, which marketplace or discovery system led to the purchase, or that Atinamos had broad or repeated market adoption.
It also does not establish future service reliability. One successful commercial event remains one observation.
Primary public evidence
The deliberately sanitised public technical record contains the event sequence, settlement reference, externality assessment and publication boundary.
Interpretation
This milestone matters because it is qualitatively different from Atinamos paying itself during a controlled buyer experiment. It is evidence that a real paid machine-service route was used by an external source.
The stronger claim — unrelated autonomous agents discovering, evaluating and repeatedly purchasing Atinamos services at useful scale — remained open after this observation.
